Evermind, designed and developed in Nashville, Tennessee, began as a labor of love. It was born from a real need. Dr. Dave Gilbert developed the Evermind Family Caregiver system as a way to care for his grandmother, Lois, who starts her day by brewing coffee in her electric percolator. Dave and his mother, Linda, rely on Evermind for daily confirmation that Lois is in her routine. Evermind helps assure her safety, and when necessary enables Dave and Linda to intervene in a timely manner.
Evermind for Providers was born from another real need. More and more of our family caregivers began to use our sensors to monitor their loved ones’ medical devices, particularly respiratory equipment. Dawn, full-time working mother of a 3 year-old with incomplete quadriplegia “...noticed an immediate change in compliance with equipment checking done by nurses as well as doing the scheduled therapies.” Through Dawn’s story as well as others, we began to see how integral our system could be to a disease and asset management program. With our management by exception dashboard, providers began using Evermind to track patient usage of the device remotely and get real-time results enabling early intervention.
Overall, we are pleased with the system and have noticed an immediate change in compliance with equipment checking done by nurses as well as doing the scheduled therapies. One of my nurses even thanked me because she said knowing it is there reminds her to actually do equipment checks.
Thank you for making this. It’s really a great idea.
Now family caregivers or providers can utilize our cutting-edge technology to efficiently provide remote care and ensure therapy compliance.
